Jessica Chastain loves red

I wrote couple of times about how Jessica Chastain is not afraid to show off her gorgeous natural red hair in red dresses and this week she proved me right one more time. She attended Giffoni Film Festival in Italy and the dress of her choice was scarlet lace number with matching lipstick and accessories. I love how brave this redhead is and how consistently she is breaking the old prejudice against redheads and gingers in red clothes.

Remember, redheads CAN and SHOULD wear red, once their find their right shade that matches their complexion. Read more about it here, my gorgeous gingers and dramatic dolls with dye.

Let's take a look at Jessica and her lucky hand while choosing red dresses. She seems to favor not only the shade, but also a particular designer, Alexander McQueen. All of these dresses are carrying his name.

Jessica also wore red to Cannes Film Festival and at Paris Fashion Week.

Don't be afraid to experiment to see what shade of red will fit your red hair the most. Sometimes even the smallest changes in makeup such as bright red lips will bring up your natural features and you will feel powerful and confident wearing a bright red dress.

And a Redhead brings new season

My favorite season is literally around the corner. FINALLY! How do I know that? Because the magazines feature dark, rustic and mysterious fall fashion campaigns!
I was never a fan of Nicole Kidman, but she totally nails it in the Fall 2013 Jimmy Choo ads. Messy red hair, crispy white blouse, oxblood and black accessories and of course sky high heels - what else can a redhead dream about?

I can totally smell the forest, rain and soft moss in the air, orange and red leaves cracking under the delicate heel of leather boots. I love fall and I love it for a reason. This ad campaign sums it up nicely.

Well done, Nicole and Jimmy! Can't wait to find Jimmy Choo inspired pieces in thrift stores.

Redhead of the week: Amy Childs

One of the most fascinating Redheads I know is Amy Childs. She totally reinvented herself and changed her coloring so perfectly that she truly looks like she was born this way. Ok, she is not the most natural looking women and it's hard to believe she is in her early twenties (I am all for plastic surgery, but later in life, when you absolutely need it), but I am not here to talk about her lips or boobs, but about her gorgeous red hair.
This is Amy well before her fame in popular British show This is Essex:

And this is Amy, how I know her:

Almost like two different people, right? Amy is a natural Spring, with fair hair, blue eyes and light skin. With gorgeous red hair, layers of fake tan and heavy eye makeup she was able to change her coloring perfectly. Would you ever guess she is supposed to be pale and blond?

Unlike other celebrities, Amy is not hesitant to share what hair color is she using. This quote is from her Twitter: "My hair colour is a goldwell colour the number is 6rb I'm naturally blonde so that's what it's vibrant."

As a perfectly camouflaging spring, Amy's recommended colors are clear red, turquoise, black, lime green, hot pink, mint and fuchsia. She looks stunning in all of them.

YES!
Red
Turquoise

Black (far enough from face)
Lime green
Yellow

 Coral Pink
White

Royal Blue

This smart British businesswoman has her own clothing line, fragrance, calendar, her own range of eyelashes, beauty and tanning range, a fitness DVD, she owns her own beauty salon and nail polish and hair roller range. Unbelievable for her age and even more unbelievable that celebrity will actually endorse something like a certain brand of hair rollers. But, her wide variety and approach to beauty seems to work for her. Amy has a lucky hand in almost everything she does, except a few little color mishaps.

NO!

Black too close to face

 Purple

Dusty shades of pink

Silver

Fortunately, Amy knows her colors and even though she can't be looking more different than her original color season type, she looks stunning almost every day. Rarely she is wearing a color that would not fit her and she prefers bright colors matching her bright red hair in her closet. I think Amy Childs is one of the most fashionable and best dressed Redhead girls ever. What do YOU think?

Redhead is shopping for shoes

I was recently looking for a new pair of walking shoes, so I visited couple of stores in my town. Ross, TJMaxxx and Walmart are my favorites, because they are affordable and have cute styles. And I was pleasantly surprised at Walmart and Ross, the first one specifically because their selection was more stylish than I expected!

Ross

I generally like the shoe selection at Ross. Even though their clothes used to be better couple of years ago, their shoes are still great. Studs, colors, laser cutouts... They always have full shelves and I appreciate the store for stocking up on shoes in my size - 8 or 8 1/2. Yay!

TJ Maxxx

Our tiny city has a TJ Maxxx store and they carry tons of brands, such as Tory Burch, Guess, Ralph Lauren, Coach, etc. However, they don't have much in my size so I usually just look, look and look until I am totally disappointed because I see plenty of cute shoes that don't fit and I move on clothes.

Walmart

I love shopping at Walmart because some of my most favorite shoes are from here. In the past I bought a pair of cute pink studded flats, nude quilted flats and this time I found some adorable platforms and nautical slip-ons!

These ones are called Ali Square Toe Pattern Wedge Sandals by Faded Glory and you can actually order them online. Aren't they adorable? The wedges would go perfectly with blue jeans, white jeans, pink jeans, red jeans... Anything you want. Which ones would you buy if you were me?

I am a number One

The perfect Cara, amazing beauty blogger and Allure Beauty Blogger of the year posted a personality test today. I am a big sucker for personality tests and quizzes of all kinds, so of course I took it. And it's spot on! Ladies and gentleman, I am a number One. The Perfectionist.

This is the description from 9types.com

Perfectionists are realistic, conscientious, and principled. They strive to live up to their high ideals.

How to Get Along with Me
  • Take your share of the responsibility so I don't end up with all the work. (If something needs to be done, I will do it. I hate asking people to do something that is super obvious in need to be done. But I really appreciate when they offer to help.)
  • Acknowledge my achievements. (Let's celebrate my new job I just started yesterday!)
  • I'm hard on myself. Reassure me that I'm fine the way I am. (I know my nose is not that crooked and my nail painting skills suck only to me, but it's nice to hear it from someone else too.)
  • Tell me that you value my advice. (I don't want to waste my time for someone who doesn't care!)
  • Be fair and considerate, as I am. (Yes, fair and square.)
  • Apologize if you have been unthoughtful. It will help me to forgive. (I need to hear that people can acknowledge their mistakes.)
  • Gently encourage me to lighten up and to laugh at myself when I get uptight, but hear my worries first. (I am very afraid of large dogs and just a thought of encountering one recently made me cry. Thanks for not laughing at me.)
What I Like About Being a One
  • being self-disciplined and able to accomplish a great deal
  • working hard to make the world a better place
  • having high standards and ethics; not compromising myself
  • being reasonable, responsible, and dedicated in everything I do
  • being able to put facts together, coming to good understandings, and figuring out wise solutions
  • being the best I can be and bringing out the best in other people
What's Hard About Being a One
  • being disappointed with myself or others when my expectations are not met
  • feeling burdened by too much responsibility
  • thinking that what I do is never good enough
  • not being appreciated for what I do for people
  • being upset because others aren't trying as hard as I am
  • obsessing about what I did or what I should do
  • being tense, anxious, and taking things too seriously
I am not going to write a commentary on all of the above, because it will be one big YES. I can totally identify myself with being the One, having written itinerary for trips that will happen in more than a month already planned with dates and times! Having a list of Christmas presents I received from people since 2001 nicely and neatly written in my annual Christmas binder! I can go on an on, but I'm satisfied to know that there is a list of things that describe me and that there are people like me in the world.

I am not crazy, my mother got me tested!

Pink Loves Navy

I wrote last month about my fascination with Pink and Navy and it is still going strong! I paired my beloved combo of skinny jeans and nautical striped shirt with some bright hot pink accessories.

Striped shirt: Forever 21
Jeans: Forever 21
Purse: Nine West
Flats: Walmart
Scarf: Walmart

I know the picture is not the best one - I was in a rush - but at least my plastic bag matches my outfit! LOL. I made an rendition on Polyvore.

Doesn't it just look adorable? I love to wear print on print, such as the zebra scarf on striped shirt.

Summer in Blue

What is better than a hot summer day in crisp white shorts?

I feel like white shorts are very resort-like and love to wear them with blue and green. The ruffles on my top remind me of waterfall and it perfectly balances the heat outside! We have up to 106 degrees here in California!

Top: Macy's
Shorts: Love Culture
Shoes: Sbicca
Bracelet: Thrifted
Purse: Forever 21

I bought my Sbicca shoes because they look unique and despite the original design they are very comfortable. But I didn't know that they are hand crafted and made in California
