Do you want hair like Amy Childs?

You may already know I love Amy Childs for her hair color. Nobody else was able to transform herself from a plain Jane to a stunning Redhead and keep up her appearance so flawlessly! And now, dear redheaded (and non redheaded too) Amy Childs admirers, you can get her hair as well!

Miss Childs is recently unveiling a new wig collection that is simply to die for. Collaboration with Annabelle's Wigs brings five different pieces for different occasions and I would buy them all.
Crystal by Amy Childs
First one, named after Amy herself, is a wavy high crown half wig extension, Amber is a long and straight half wig, gorgeous Crystal looks the best , it's long wavy ¾ hairpiece extension, finally Ruby is just a cute unfussy bun, and Sapphire adds a ponytail where there was nothing before.

They all come in the exact same red hair color that Amy Childs is known for and I really appreciate that. I know it's hard to find a good wig that is not looking like fake plastic Barbie hair, with overly shiny and synthetic looking pieces. A lot of redheaded wigs are used for cosplay or Halloween and I have yet to see a serious red hair piece - fortunately smart Amy thought about that. And with the affordable prices I almost wish I lived in the UK :)

Would you buy yourself hair from Amy Childs?

4th Annual Wine, Chocolate and Art Event

The best part of my job (PR Consultant at a dentist) is to attend various events to represent my boss and spread the good name around. I love talking to people and mingling at different events, it reminds me when I was a showbiz reporter for a press agency... years ago... anyways, on Wednesday I took my lovely husband and we went to the 4th Annual Wine, Chocolate and Art Event by United Way.

Cheers! Wine tasting, chocolate tasting, local businesses and of course the proceedings will go to United Way of San Joaquin Valley.
Dress: H&M Shoes: Fioni by Payless

I was finally able to wear my cute bubble H&M dress from like a year or two ago. I got it one spring or fall, I can't remember, because it was on sale for $7 and it was super cute and it was not in season and I thought I will wear it one day. But because of it's bubble shaped bottom it looks weird with a cardigan, it is too light and shiny to wear with a jacked and last summer there were no nighttime events I could wear it. It's rich brown color with splatters of turquoise, orange and purple and it looks just like some of the wines we were enjoying.

The rest of my office joined us at about 7 PM and we had a fun night spreading smiles around :)
The local paper even took a couple of sneaky pics of us. Funny, only these two ended up on their Instagram page!

Can you see my red hair?
Thanks to hubby who took all the pics except last two. Love you!

Black head to toe? No!

Bryce Dallas Howard is not a redhead anymore. The Help actress debuted her new hair do at the Thanks for Sharing premiere in LA and not only she got bangs and a long, collar bone length bob, she also changed her hair color! A stunning redhead is now a... less stunning, average brunette. I am sad for this loss.
On the other hand, Julianne Moore is now gracing a cover of InStyle magazine in a gorgeous green dress (actually, it is a Calvin Klein shirt) with some green and purple jewelry.
Doesn't she look stunning in green? Much better than in black. Finally, we can start talking about redheads wearing black. Because Julianne recently went to yoga class wearing all black..
Very unflattering, if you ask me. The next day she added a little more color - what a change! The sun is still shining, but now her hair shines too. She looks much younger, lively and lovely than in all black attire.
Same goes for Allyson Hannigan. Redheads should steer clear from black head to toe. Not even a flowery scarf will help.
Do you see how she looks in pretty coral pink dress? So vibrant and lively!

Redhead Fall 2013: Color Report: Koi (Part 3)

Orange belongs to Autumn like a koi belongs to a fish pond (do you see what I did there?). And one of the Pantone fall colors is a gorgeous deep shade of orange called Koi. The official website described koi as a "decorative orange with dazzling and shimmering qualities, is a statement color that serves as a pick-me-up for your wardrobe."
The Perfect Palette knows that orange and fall goes together.
Pumpkins have the perfect shade of orange for the fall.
Pantone combines Koi with Turbulence.
And that is pretty much all I would recommend to any Redhead. If you bring it too close to your face, it will drown you out. If you pick a lighter shade of orange, you may be fine. However, not with Koi.
Hot redheads don't shine in hot orange color.
This is Phoebe Price. Despite the fact that she is wearing a see-through dress with yellow underwear, the orange shade is too much for her red hair. You can't even tell when it ends and when her dress starts!
Cute redhead in orange dress.
Lighter shade is so much better for a cute redhead like this.
This vibrant color will look best with darker, crisper colors such as navy blue or chocolate brown. If you are absolutely in love with this shade of orange, try to break it up with your fierce hair color using black, pink or even white. And as always, all Pantone seasonal colors look great when combined together, so don't be afraid of experimenting.

Fellow Redheads, do you wear orange?

What color is your evening dress, dear Redhead?

I came across a wonderful line of evening dresses by Sherri Hill on simplydresses.com and a lot of her designs are showcased on a gorgeous Redhead! What color would you pick for yourselves, dear Redheads?

Green?
Seems like an obvious choice, but looking at the pictures, this Redhead looks stunning! I am all for green and I think my favorite dress is this one, even though it was hard to choose.
It's a strapless sweetheart sequin high low dress with beaded bodice and ruffle skirt.
What about this full length high neck formal gown? Gorgeous! The shade seems to be with hints of blue and doesn't look as vibrant and vivacious, but I can imagine wearing it to a more formal ball.

Aqua Blue?
I love the yellow color popping out of this full length beaded strapless sweetheart formal gown
This peacock inspired dress is to die for and her red locks look simply amazing, don't you think? I believe Redheads, either natural or decided, look their best in all colors you can find on peacock's tail.

Midninght Blue?

This dress is very daring and I would love to see the Redhead to wear this short babydoll homecoming dress in Purple. Too bad the website simplydresses.com only showed a blonde cutie...

Full length beaded v-neck formal gown is gorgeous and I love the beading, but the dark long skirt without embelishments looks too dark on this lovely Redhead model.

Pink?
This Redhead is getting a little bit washed out in this pale pink floor length strapless sweetheart dress. I alredy talked about how Redheads CAN and MUST wear pink, but I prefer darker, stronger shade such as fuchsia or deep pink or hot pink, not this... piggy pink
This pink long open back sequin gown looks better, because of the higher saturation of pink, but I must admit the brunette looks way better in pink than this Redhead model. Again, I wish I can see the model in Purple, but oh well. Maybe later.

PS: If you want to see a range of nice dresses designed by a Redhead and modeled by a Redhead, take a peek at Amy Child's online store. My fave British Redhead Amy is a fashion designer (on top of owning a beauty salon and many other engagements) and you can see all the dresses directly on her!

Redhead Fall 2013 Color Report: Mykonos Blue (Part 2)

Blue is not your typical fall color. But bold, deep and luxurious Mykonos Blue somehow fits right into the autumn seasons, maybe because it's position on the color wheel right against orange makes it a perfect color for bold fashion statements.

You can combine it with classic white for a crisp, relaxed fall look. Or you can add bold orange (aka Koi according to Pantone) and shine with your bold fashion sense.
Pantone also recommends pairing Mykonos Blue with Emerald or Linden Green. This elegant color, inspired by the opulence found the the oceans and rich blue colors throughout Greece, looks especially bold in simple handbags. Several of the world's prestigious brands such as Dior or Hermes added Mykonos Blue to their range of offered colors.

Mykonos Blue Dior bag.
Mykonos Blue Kelly Birkin bag.
Redheads are flattered by this rich shade of blue.

Mykonos Blue is a regal shade and for the biggest impact Redheads should wear it on long evening dresses or embellished sparkly dresses. Rihanna looked absolutely stunning in blue when her hair was bright red.
Regal, stunning - redhead in Mykonos Blue dress will look awesome.

Amy Childs loves Mykonos Blue.

Redheaded Rihanna is stunning in embellished Emilio Pucci dress.
