Can Redheads ever wear PINK?

There is another color that Redheads try to avoid more than the dreaded red.

PINK.

Just try to google "can redheads wear pink?" and you will get about a million results, and Google may even finish the sentence for you.

Kylie Lewis, a recent contestant on the show The Bachelor, just tried to repeat this thousand time repeated lie when she told TMZ that the producers on the show tried to set her up with a pink dress. She claims that the producers told her to dye her hair from strawberry blonde to red and that they advised her to wear a pink dress instead of purple. And instead of getting the rose she got a sad goodbye from the show.

Natural redheads should avoid oranges and yellows, and steer towards blues. The same goes for Decided Redheads, especially in stronger, magenta tones. Let's look at some examples.

Lilly Cole

Decided Redheads will especially look good in two shades of pink. One of them is light, soft baby pink.
Ariana Grande
The other one is sexy pink shade of Hollywood pink.
Emma Stone
And least but not least, magenta.

Radiant Orchid for Redheads

I know I may be late on this Pantone Color of the Year 2014 business, but this is the first day of 2014 and therefore Orchid starts its reign as the official beauty and fashion color of the year. And I can't be more excited about this Redhead friendly color! After last year's Emerald, Orchid seems to be another color that will flatter natural gingers and decided Redheads everywhere.
"Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality."

Radiant Orchid is described as "an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones." Pantone recommends this modern and surprisingly versatile shade for almost everyone, as Radiant Orchid enlivens the skin and blending both cool and warm undertones, so nobody is left behind. Also, "this multifaceted hue is seductive when combined with red."

So yay for Radiant Orchid! We already know it goes well with red hair and here is a couple of pic just to prove the point. And give us more courage to reach for this spring and airy shade when we see it everywhere in stores in a couple of months.

Right now, you can get ready by getting the Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick from Sephora HERE. It's a gorgeous, vibrant color that will make you smile.
